This col­lec­tion of short sto­ries is com­prised of fic­tion I wrote for var­i­ous reasons.

The Fallen, Twisted Vines, Knee Deep, Mon­ster and Rain­bow were all writ­ten as writ­ing exer­cises: whether to write a story under X amount of words, or on auto­matic with­out stop­ping. Two of these sto­ries, The Fallen and Rain­bow actu­ally spawned an inter­est beyond their purpose.

Out­post was writ­ten for a Cre­ative Writ­ing class of which the object was to cre­ate and iden­tify with a sin­gle char­ac­ter. I chose iso­la­tion as the con­text and played on what that expe­ri­ence can do to the mind.
